How long will I
have to wait before the doctor can see me? When you call our office,
depending on your schedule, we can reserve an appointment visit within 1 to 2 weeks. If
you are calling because of an emergency situation, we will be able to see you the same day
during office hours.
How much time will
I spend in the office? We see all patients on an
appointment basis, reserving a specific amount of time for individual treatment. Most
appointments average between 1/2 hour to 1 hour. If a patient prefers a longer
appointment, that amount of time will also be reserved.
Will my dental insurance cover the treatment? If you have a standard,
global insurance plan, you insurance should take care of a percentage of your dental care.
Our office will be able to assist you in obtaining this information by contacting your
insurance company.
Do you offer payment plans? Payment is appreciated at
the time services are provided. A treatment plan and estimate will be presented to you
before we begin. For your convenience we honor major credit cards, and offer a Healthcare
Credit Plan.
How often should I
come in for a routine check -up? Patients should have
regular check-ups every six months or more depending on the individual. In between visits
they should brush at least twice a day, and floss daily. Dentists check for more than
decay at the check-up visit. They look for early signs of gum disease, oral cancer and
other problems.
What if I have an
emergency on the weekend or after office hours? You may page Dr. Markewych
in case of a dental emergency and your call will be returned promptly. If necessary, the
doctor can call your pharmacy to refill your prescription or see you in her office for an
emergency visit!
